It's much easier to find something outside of the immediate area of Daytona. Hotels/motels in the Daytona area get booked the day after for the following year.
I don't care what direction...got any ideas?

New Smyrna is 20 miles South of Daytona and lots of sites between there and Daytona including Cabbage Patch which is strait West Of there.

The Hilton is asking $499 a night right now!!!!

Im going to attempt to get a booth down there.
But wow, Hilton at 500 a night. Psh.
I have family in Alabama. Unfortunately, they are 8 hours away.
Highly doubtful i could even get a booth at this time. Most people reserve their booths the prior year. Maybe 2014

Does anyone know what strip or area would be a high traffic or "hot spot"?
Coming from Illinois it would be not so good if I were to get in an area where only a handful of people walk by.

Beach Street by Carl's Speed Shop and the Track have most of the vendors. There are also a bunch at Bruce Rossmeyer's Destination Daytona.

It would still be a great experience to go. Never been to a big event like this. AND my wife is letting me go alone. After 5 years, you'd think she'd learn by now. :willy_nilly:

It's not 20 miles out but just 2 miles from main st. Perfect biker host, gaurded covered bike parking, grocery store, ihop, liquor store across the street. we stay every year.
