I finally got my power on at 1 PM today. One day I had to stand in line with 5 gallon gas cans for 3 hours only to have to station run out of gas when I was the 4th person in line. A full tanker came 20 minutes later and I filled up. Today they started odd even rationing for cars. Now the people do not have to sleep in their car over night to wait for the gas station to open. I have to come up with a way to store a lot more gas.
Might want to look at getting a generator that runs off natural gas . Lot easier to get a large tank and have it filled, dont have to worry about shelf life of your gas either.
Slightly less efficient in terms of BTU's p/gallon, however when you consider the significantly cheaper price of Natural Gas and the ease of storing It more than makes up for it.
Propane is an option too, just I price keeps going up.
· Gasoline 1 gallon = 125,000 BTUs
· Natural Gas 1 CCF = 100,015 BTUs (CCF=100 cubic feet)
· Propane 1 gallon = 91,700 BTUs
