Harbor Freight Lift Sale - $69.99

Got an email with the motorcycle lift on sale for $69.99. I have the same lift it isn't the best but it will get the job done. Lift does not slide right under my Ridgeback, I ride it up on a small board to get the lift underneath.

Either way, its cheap and works. If your in the market for one and are tight on funds here is your opportunity.

$69.99 is what I paid for mine, I purchased it in the Harbor Freight in Pearl/Jackson, Mississippi but Ihad to use a coupon.

I have a 2003 Chopper and the jack slides up under my frame without driving it up on something. All I have to do is pull on the opposite side of the bike as the kick stand and once I am holding the bike up straight the jack slides right up under it.

I personally have my eyes set on a pitbull jack sometime down the road, but until then I am satisfied with the harbor freight one. The only reason I want the pitbull over the HF one is that once the MC is up on a pitull jack you can spin the bike 360 degrees. I can just imagine how easy that is to clean and work on.

Normally I would agree with you but you may not have tried the jack. I would prefer the HF jack over just about any other. If you saw it in use and I didn't tell you it came from HF you would never know.

This is a joke, right? You may as well use a milk crate and a bungy chord. Just last month a guy posted here that his failed, dropping the bike. Risk chrome parts and a paint job for $70? Check here and on the Harley sights about the number of catastrophic failures. Do you think our "friends" in China use this crap? No, it's made solely for export to the US. Their plan is to take over the U.S. by eliminating all of our machines, one at a time by having their crappy tools fail when we use them resulting in major damage to all our cars, bikes, etc. Harbor Freight is the worst weapon of mass destruction since MSG! Seriously, don't save money on a $30 thou bike by using crap lifts or stands.

Looks very similar to my red Craftsman jack. Heck they are probably made at the same place. But mine costs around $100. Anyway, Thanks Eric for passing this info along...

As I stated in the original if people are tight on cash the lift works fine. Not everyone makes as much money as you do apparantly. I dont know what planet your on but nobody has a $30,000 BDM anymore. You would be lucky to have a $15k motorcycle at this point.

If you could also point me in the direction of catastrophic failure due to this lift on this site I would be surprised. One guy used the harbor freight table lift and didn't strap his bike on before he lifted it up that was not the lift fault. Many people have used this lift with no issues.

I take precautions whenever I do work on mine on the lift I never leave the bike lifted overnight always let it down. I strap it down if I am doing any wrenching, for cleaning I do not strap it down. If I leave to go back in the house to pee and get beers I lower it.

It's great for home use,If I were going to make a living off of wrenching,I'd probably spend the extra $ for top quality,me...I'm happy with mine for what I use it for.Think I paid $50 for mine,with the coupon.

I'm with you on this one. I have seen several threads and post concerning the HF jack and I have not heard anything negative from someone who actually owns it, much less a "catastrophic failure".

The only negative things I see is usually from post just like his, they wouldn't know the difference between the HF jack and any other one unless it was pointed out.

I have the yellow craftsman seems pretty solid to me.

That's my feeling on all Harbor Freight crap. If your going to use it daily Harbor Freight isn't for you. But for tools that you use a few times a year there is nothing wrong with their stuff.

I bought an 18v cordless drill there for $20, it has lasted 2 years and have put together and built multiple shevling units and work benches. I also use it to clean the dog with the powerball. I have been pleasantly surprised with the drill actually. For a weekend warrior Harbor Freight is an excellent store unless your made of money.

I have the HF lift. Absolutely no issues. and btw there is a bar with 2 cotter pins that you can remove and place the bar into a space provided to prevent the lift from closing in the event the hydraulic fluid stops holding the weight

I've had my HF lift for around 10 years and it works just fine. It hangs out in between the bikes so I can grab it when I need it. I don't use it every day but it is useful for changing tires, cleaning wheels, and any other maintenance that needs a lift. It came with an ATV attachment that I never used but I think my kid did once.:2thumbs:
