Removing Baffles!

I personally think there is a happy medium between the two. I have the VH BR 2X2 with the baffles in and they are plenty loud for me. I'm not the one who has to have the loudest bike on the block, but I also appreciate the good sound of loud pipes when I'm out and about.

When I come home from bike night around 10 or 11 my neighbors tolerate my bike, so in return I try not to make it to overbearing.

I do try to respect my neighbors. I putt down the street at night. Its not that I want the loudest bike on the block. I just feel its a war zone out there anymore riding. Us against everybody else. Between women putting on makeup, texting, drunk driving and just people that dont care about the safety of me. I want every advantage I have to stay alive and not hurt.

I had Big Dog remove the baffles out of my Big Radius pipes. Not sure what adjustments they made but, it is Loud and has been running Awesome for 4 years now without an issue!! LOVE IT!!

I have the VH 2x2 on my k9 and had the baffles in. hated it and needed it louder. took the baffle out, rejetted the carb and now sucker sounds so damn sweet and loud, even runs hard and strong.:2thumbs: Cops cant give me a ticket for it being loud because Im deaf and by Disability Act, im allowed to have loud pipes. OH yeah the vibration from the pipes makes it all better and it tingles the ladies Vajay! LOL!!

I cut my baffles in half in my V&H 2/2 exhaust a few months ago and didn't have to do any adjustments to the carb.But now It's still not loud enough and I'm planning on removing the baffles entirely.What carb adjustments must I make to keep my low end power,and to keep the bike running right? I'm putting in a set of torque cones in the headers also.Thanks guys!

Turn up your hearings aids...Or put in a set of BCT Monster baffles

the hooker 2-1 pipes with slash cut baffle is loud as shit when you're on it, and pretty tame when mildly cruising. might be worth considering. it's a pretty mean sounding pipe.

hey biker friends thmpr is back with another ques. need a little help if anyone can
while asking on the subject of baffles to no baffles.
05 mastiff 117 s/s v/h 2/2 big radious. love running no baffles bad ass head turner
but cant stand the bark of back pressure. told about running power cones
at the ports to help the situation. has anyone done this method and if so
is there anything i should know, and where to purchase a set to fit these pipes/ports
not sure the id and how to install. cant imagine the install is hard to do.
anyone has any info. or suggestions. THANKS THMPR

I went with the advice of T Man Performance, (look it up on the web). 117 S&S with mean mothers, no baffles. Installed Big City Thunder monster baffles. Loud as open pipes, no back popping, way more midrange torque, best sound you could ask for. All for less than 100.00.

I have a 117 S&S with a Shorty G carburetor and V&H Big Radius Pipes. I replaced the original baffles ( tinny sounding) with BCT baffles. Now running a .032 intermediate and .078 (original) main. Great sound and power to spare.

I had a set of power cone/torque cones once on my old rev tech 100".
A proper exhaust works.
Power cones install very easily, take pipe off and stick them in at the top and replace gaskets and remount pipes. They restrict/narrow the flow of exhaust at the head.
I'll look and see if I still have them ( I don't think so) and if I do you can have them for shipping.
