Cliff,Ok, I pulled the cover to the tranny off and found 3 pieces of what looks like a broken pin. They are about the thickness of a pen tip. I also can take the front middle gear and move it forward and backwards a little bit, maybe a quarter inch or so. Sorry I didn't get back sooner but I was on vacation last week with no computor or big dog. Anyone ever run into this?
Thanks,Cliff.
Sorry, but still not clear on where you found them. Were they on top of the shift drum? In other words, you removed to top cover of the tranny and these pieces were on top of the drum that sits directly on top of the gears. Right? Wrong? It would be strange that if they were there, that they had not fallen into the gear case. And also, that you found nothing in to bottom of the gear case after finding these just sitting on top. Again, someone will chime in that recognizes where these roller bearings came from, assuming that's what they are.Brad,
I actually found them on the top of the tranny laying on the flat suface. When I drained the tranny nothing else came out and I used a magnet to dig around and no more pieces came out.
Thanks,Cliff.
