Alright all functionality aside, neccessary or not........THEY LOOK BADASS!!

I had mine powder coated and diamond cut added the spike cap and now you be the judge. Who cares what they do......just look at 'em. :whoop:
They do look badass.

I really don't see them being an functionally good in hot temps much if your lucky a -10 degrees MAX. I actually think the cooler temps you might see the negative impacts of an oil cooler more pronounced. I believe ambient temp is more important. Like riding in 30-50 degree temps, that oil will cool off more than it will cool down with just the air flow versus outside temps of 95-105.

In cold weather you put a cover over them. Leather wrap that blocks the air flow.....kind of like trucks that partially cover the radiator in winter.

If you ask me....................and you didn't.
I recon they look ugly, takes away from the smooth lines that the K9 has.
Also something else to bloody polish and get bugs stuck in.

Unless you live in Death Valley, oil coolers are a waste of $.
Sure some motors like to run cooler than others, but i think you will find it has more to do with fuel mixture than motor temp.

IMO anyway.

Jet it right and run full syn oil and there is no need for a cooler...

apparently you have never been hung up in traffic on Lazzel st in Sturgis during the rally! yes some of us live in the deep south and 100+ degree days are very common. In 2012 we had 100+ degree days for over 60 days streight here in Louisiana. And yes I rode my dog!

I'm with Brooks on this one. Who cares how they work....they look good :D

They are bad ass! I am looking at buying that same kit for my bike and I was wondering what everyone thought about them. The consensus seems to be split right down the middle and for $589 I am going to have to think about it a lot.

They made a difference on my 03...and jetting the carb right does not make a difference. The guy that posted about air flow...no offense...does not understand "combustion" happens in the motor. Duh. Not in the oil cooler. If you take a boiling pot of water and take it off the heat...it stops boiling. Just sayin'.
