what i find insulting is when someone is asked to document their facts they only come back with your previously written word.
dedicated bikers look for a shop????? this site was built on most guys finding and reporting fixes. not finding and monopolizing on them

To KnotSo- it actually was Lifestyles in Mount Vernon. The story I heard is that the qualified BDM mechanic Thomas is no longer with them. He had done work for me in the past and I was happy, that is why I took the dog back to them.
Justin the service rep is a great guy and if he could fix it I know he would. But I think they may be in over their heads with the Dog.
I'm just about ready to pull the bike out of there. If you could pass along Thomas' contact information, I'll try to get ahold of him and maybe bring him the bike for a look.

with all due respect to everyone elses opinion - I thing BigDog had plenty of good years to address this problem but didn't to everyones satisfaction. Wires Plus does have an excellent alternative and we will see if the new plug and play system will have equally excellent results. And you are correct Jake when you say most dont know about this board. I will say that in my experiences that i have come across very few BigDog owners that come to this board. The one that do speak very highly of it - the ones that don't I tell then to check it out.

obviously he's never met Fibersnake. rode with him many a time and dont have 1 bad thing to say about the man. i believe he was very neutral on this subject. just doing a poll on products which is done quite often here. im thinking the problem wasnt the poll but the product that was being polled.

Well I am truly sorry to hear that. So if I understand this right, because I disagree with you on some of your comments and let it out there for all to see, you are going to hold it against the many members and future members that have bought and may have bought products that you sold and as mentioned numerous time that you have commendently supported.
So to all those member that I have ruined it for, my apologies. Still though I am not the one that removed what was a good source for a product that many have used and that a supporting member has supported, nor was I in anyway asking for such sponsor to be removed or for that matter saying anything non-factual against such products or the previous supporting member that was selling them. But I will keep my ball in the game and take the blame for ruining such for so many members.
Oh and to make it clear for all, it is not my PDM kit, I do not sell them (or anything else) or have any involvement in them other than as a user. Nor do I recall worrying about Jake pushing how great WP is or for that matter even saying anything against WP that was untrue or saying people should not buy such. Hell I even recommended that Jake was the source and a very good source for such for those that decided it was the product for them.
I would have never guessed such actions, but it is what it is and no ill will to Jake and do feel sorry that Jake felt that was the best action to take. I stand by all my comments nonetheless and they are all on this thread and all the others for anyone to read (or should be unless deleted by others for some unbeknowst reason).
Safe riding to all, and please keep up the input, good or bad for this poll as well as the other one so that all members may get some real benefit out of it.

Well that sucks for me....I have bought my dyna beads,Wire Plus,and just installed my HID and all of them have come from Jake...He sells great products and I have never been let down with anything. He has always been a great help to me and my dog and hope I can still be one of his customers. The Wire-Plus was the best thing I could have ever done to my Dog...no issues,no worries,and easy install. I just dont see why someone would want to pay over $100 more for an unproven product when there is a PROVEN product out there already....this is just my .02 and dont care if it offends anyone...my bike runs great and I dont worry about going long distance on her and having an EHC failure....once again THANK YOU JAKE for all you have helped me with.

I (and since he listed me specifically) never said WP or anyhting Jake sold was a bad product, not did I ever say that Jake was not a good provider. In fact if people would read the full thread and all the other ones, it was the opposite.
Why would people pay a hundred dollars for an unproven product, well I did to see if would prove out. WP was unproven at one time too! The Hundred dollars is for the higher cost of the product in general, but the labor can be less-depends on who install and how they go about it.
This whole poll was not about WP or PDM, it was about the one who have PDM, how is it working out, the same as the one for WP. Why, to gather data to see if it is proving out or not and if there is problem, what are they.
I am sorry that Jake decided to drop his sponsorship, but no one asked him to, suggested or anything along those lines. He is the one that made his choice and as far as I know, he still is selling them and will provide the products to those that are wishing such and I am sure that those that had and do buy from him, will get the same level of service that he has provided as before.
It is a shame, but as far as driving him away or ruining it for anyone else, do not see it. He made those decission on his own.
All I can suggest if for those that wish to buy WP and do buisness with Jake, by all mean do so and as stated in this thread and others, never said WP was bad, better or worse than PDM, nor did I ever say that Jake was not taking care of his customers and gave him credit for such.
Just disagree with him for the bashing on PDM and other products that he may not carry as well as some comments conerning many of the members. But it was never personal nor ever asked that he stop selling his products, supporting the forum and the people that he has served well.
