there does seem to be a bit of skill and knowledge neccessary to work the buffer properly,definately nothing that can be taught from reading some directions....
X-2 :up:Try the least aggressive first.
Clay bar. If that doesn't work try some polish.
Next would be compound.
Last would be sand and buff.
Glad you got it taken care of, but I think you were on some very thin ice using Lacquer thinner, any scratch or stone chip could've been a disaster.I used lacquer thinner after testing to see if it was safe. Worked great without abrasives. The previous owner got some kind over spray all over it.
