Hey Ed, would love to have u spray my tins. Was going to wait until this winter when I stored my scoot but if u need work im sure we can figure something out real soon. I live in okc so i could drive up the parts. I feel bad that u got laid off and don't know if u really need the work or not. Can u pm me ur number and a good time to call so we can talk. It might take me a few days to calm the wife down(she is gunna thro another fit, lol) but she will come around. Thanks brotha.

It is easier to beg forgiveness after the fact than it is to get permission in the first place. :D

Go for it.:2thumbs:

Thanks again for all the replies. I'm getting things taken care of. I've been in contact with people and everyone assures me not to worry. It won't help me to go to the factory and they won't release the tank to a 3rd party.

Not to make you worry or stress ya out but,

They "assure you not to worry", what else are they going to tell you? They cannot tell you the truth.......It's a madhouse around here, things are changing, people loosing their jobs, production shutting down and we have no idea when we will get your tank back but you should get it back someday!

Just from my experience with BDM, my tank took way longer then quoted (when things were good). Although they did a great job, my only complaint was turn around time. Now with the added change at BDM, I would want my stuff back before it's MIA and your shit out of luck.

I'm sure if you absolutely wanted your stuff released to a third party there would be a way to accomplish it. A signed, notarized release from you or possibly the old phone call from your attorney can sometimes work wonders.

Or let them keep it, misplace it then loose it and create pain, suffering and mental anguish!

Good luck!

Hi guys, my name is Brandon Wegerle is was one of the painters that got laid off last week. If your paint jobs where at the factory i have them. I am going to finish all the work that was started and return them to BIGDOG to be shipped back. Your things will get finish and BigDog will not keep your parts. If you have any questions fell free to pm me.

Knotso is correct. I'm here in wichita (about 12 minutes away). So if someone needed me to collect their parts from BDM, I could swing by. If they would release them to me ,obviously. As I stated earlier that their entire paint dept. is gone, if anyone needs work done, I can take care of you. I haven't been much of a presence on the forum much lately, and I'm sure alot of new guys don't know me. But I worked at BDM until the layoffs cut me. I was one of the many talented artists that painted these awesome machines. I became responsible for many of the high-end jobs, and designed several of their paint schemes. I have done alot of paint jobs for our friends here on the forum, just look up the threads. So if you guys need help getting your parts back, or painted, I'll be glad to help! BTW, thanks for the plug Knotso!
Good deal Ed, This is what good folks do to help out others in need when they can,

I talked to the folks at Full House today. They got my tank back from Big Dog on Tuesday, about three weeks to get the gas tank liner fixed.

It sucks for all of us that BDM has shut their doors. In my case they currently have my gas tank at the factory and my local dealer has my bike. I'm a bit worried that I'll have a problem getting my tank back. I don't think my dealer is going anywhere and they have the rest of the bike. Does anyone know what I might expect? Any advise on how to handle this is appreciated.

All advise and support is appreciated.
Possession is 9/10's of the law...

I wouldnt hold my breath on ever seeing that tank, unless you go there, look for it, find it, and prove its yours.

Can you imagine what that warehouse plant looks like?

Who is there to search for your tank?

there is still people there. The place is not a mess. They are selling what they can and moving everything across the street. I dont know why people think they are going to keep there parts, most where customer pay jobs. there for to get paid they must send them back to the customer. I worked in the paint shop, and they was only about 10 OPEN jobs when the place closed down. We not talking about hundreds of parts here.
