They came stock on the 07 Bulldog and set even with the bottom of the frame. I think they look great. Only problem is they stay chipped up from gravel and road debris.
I hadn't thought about that!!! Thinking,, thinking ,, Would powder coating chip as bad as regular paint? That is why I removed mine as well from my 07 Bulldog....
I've thought the exact thing. :lol:I hadn't thought about that!!! Thinking,, thinking ,, Would powder coating chip as bad as regular paint?
Keeping in mind I don't ride in the rain unless caught out in it, and I don't do any trail riding either, the bumps on the main roads are already hard enough on my butt. Still thinking about it while it sits on the "Tender".
Thanks you all,
Ray :2thumbs:
I think that's what 'downtube' tool bags are for! Mine sets down there (bottom of it even with the frame). It catches a lot of road crap and gravel, but wipes right off and it it discolors, Black leather dye!I look at it a s the first line of defense:2thumbs:
Yes Sir that is what I needed to see, and I am with you on riding on clean asphalt and not trail riding. Your scooter is looking good as well, really good!My front spoiler is covered with 3M stone chip guard clear plastic and it looks like new. No problems kicking up dirt on engine due to riding on clean asphalt roads (no dirt). The spoiler is just a 1/4" lower than the frame the way it's mounted on the front VR bracket.
