The speedo gives you the option of using the analog or digital speedo. I'm sure the digital goes to 199 like the Dakota so no issues here!

What I like about this speedo is the real time tach. :2thumbs:

Yes, you alternate between the two. Knotso and I got to ride the bikes a while ago and I played with it a little bit.

A little help

Dealers are now taking orders for the new MEDALLION
retro kits. They should start here in about two weeks.
This speedometer will replace both the speedometer and the tach board inside the speedo bucket. Its used by several major manufacturers and as I've reported here before I like it a lot.
Not to take anything away from the Dakota Digital, its a fine speedometer also and I have been using one for almost a year without problems.
Don't have pricing but maybe Lena can fill us in on this part.
I've posted pictures of this Medallion speedometer before and not going to go search them out with my phone but if someone wants to link a picture I would appreciate it.

Any part numbers please not every dealer is on the ball. My dealer in NJ only came up with an assembly for the wolf at only $307.00. But it's not called a retro fit kit. Help me please!

So let me get this correct.....with this retro-fit speedo you have the choice of riding with a tach or the speedo..but not both of them at the same time?????

According to Raywood on this post you can use both at the same time in either configuration.

If you want the speed with the needle you will see the rpm in numbers. If you want the rpm with the needle you will see the speed in numbers. Both information at the same time.

I received an email from Chris Theobald on the retro fit speedo. "The speedo's should not be much longer... I am hoping we start seeing them flowing in this month or in March. It is a new kit that will replace the old design... Won't be much longer."

I have this speedo on my 09 Wolf and really like it.

Just ordered my Dakota digital and now I find this post. Guess I will still be happy to get rid of my current OEM speedo that works when it wants and seems like it's falling apart internally.

Does anyone have a contact number at Medallion? I am willing to either buy a Wolf speedo and engineer a conversion myself or talk to Medallion and see if we can buy this retrofit thing directly.

Here is where we will find out if BDM is truly out of the picture. If the vendors will now sell to us, BDM is gone. If they refuse, then it will be an indication that they have sort sort of "deal" cooking with a new BD company.
