I have never "weighed in" on this thread but in reading all the comments I think it totally depends on your view of marriage and women at the time.
Years ago I separated from my 1st wife and REALLY believed that I would NEVER EVER marry again. To me it was like a contract of ownership where manipulation and co-dependent game playing was the norm. To be fair I think I was going thru a VERY REAL (to me) mid-life crisis at the time. SO at that time (and for some time afterward) It definitely would have been "Keep the Bike".
Then I met my beautiful wife Linda. Neither of us thought we wanted to get married so we "lived in sin" for 5 yrs and brought NO baggage from our past into our FUN (AND believe me, we DID have FUN)! We fell in love, married, and continue our great friendship, partnership, romance, and pursuit of good times to this day. I can count on her to be there for me (and me for her). She has my back! AND we Will "Ride off into the sunset Together"!
SO today IF I had to choose my bikes or Linda, THEN the bikes would go.
Here's to you (us), Babes!
And to More Good Times!:2thumbs:
