Dammit Son~! Every one of your posts today are ending with, "sorry". Doom and gloom. Unearthed from the depths suits you well. Did anyone tell you today is Friday and it's ok to lie to folks today in order to make them feel better? The entire BDM electrical system "with" the use of the EHCs are too temperamental!
It's never really been "TOTALLY" resolved.
I doubt it ever will be. Sorry!

I corrected my post while you were posting yours!Ace, ass.....same thing!![]()

Apparently 98.5% of them are... just not the one that you're dealing with.Got a 2007 K9 here with a bad EHC. I thought the newer EHC's were ok?
BabyRay must be a customer!OK then!

Nope, 2010 models still have the EHC with the exception of the New Chopper. There's no such thing as an "OK" EHC.From what I understand, the 2010 models have gone away from the EHC. Not having an EHC is the best option.

Apparently 98.5% of them are... just not the one that you're dealing with.
A while back Night Train made the comment that after 2006 the EHC's had a failure rate of 1.5%. I know there are those that disagree with this number but why would he lie? After all, he said that AFTER he was let go.
Dennis
I think he was talking about EHC's returned to the factory that tested bad which would mean all the numbers you're coming up with would be included in the 1.5% failure rate.Yea... he's right...
1.5% manufactures defect rate
30% defect rate due to vibration
30% defect rate due to voltage spike damage
30% defect rate due to water damage
......
That's probably close... within a % or two!!![]()
I have talked to BDM riders we meet on the road and tell them about this site and all it has to offer, and most say they have had no issues with their bike, do not have time for forums and just want to ride in their spare time.It was just more a joke.
I know my local dealer, out of all the BDM bikes thay have sold, have had a higher failure rate than 1.5%. I'd have to say it is near 20% or more.
And look at the poll on here. It is near 50%, but you have to figure, guys with failures will be looking for a site like this to find a fix. The guys not having issues are out riding and not searching the web for fixes!!!!![]()
Damn....I have talked to BDM riders we meet on the road and tell them about this site and all it has to offer, and most say they have had no issues with their bike, do not have time for forums and just want to ride in their spare time.
So the poll only shows those who are on this forum, yet there are more than 25,000 more bikes on the road that potentially have had few problems. Jake is right, the guys not having issues are not searching the web and are riding, so the poll numbers are skewed in the overall scheme of things.
The poll numbers are only an accurate statictical number of those participating in this poll, to which most forum members have not taken part in this poll.
Comments posted are Opinions, not an officail statement of fact.
In effect, the poll results are not an accurate cunclusion and are open to interpretation by the reader.
