How about a new thread on how much of your bike you have changed to chrome , anodizing or powered coat.
I know we have a couple members here (I won't name any) that are chrome whores and there is good reason for it. I hate polishing. Was okay when I lived in Kalifornia where it only rained 6 days a year. But up here in Washington I can't keep it clean as much as I try.
My last dealer in San Diego had a chrome exchange. Their cabinet was full of goodies so when you took your bike in for service you just had the parts swapped out. Of course being military they gave me a good deal!
So, what have you changed/plated/coated?
for me it is as follows;
Chrome;
triple trees
frt fender bracket
speedo bucket and bracket
clutch cable clamps (on frame)
intake elbow
axle plate covers
license plate (3 piece)
shifter rod
pegs (Kuryakyn)
rear brake caliper bracket
carburator
Powdercoat;
struts (black)
Things left to do;
wheels and hubs
cam cover
lifter blocks
foot controls
hand controls
