I'm not the seller, but here's what I found on the part number:

Big Dog Motorcycles : 18" Chrome Sissy Bar (no struts) (BDM220-000007-01 )
18" Chrome Sissy bar ONLY ... this does NOT include the receiver struts

Fits: 2006 - 2007 K-9

[Part No. 223-000002-01] for '06 & '07 K-9 shown on the BDM site.

It looks like it could be a recalled bar. It's hard to see the tappers, but I think I can see them. The new bars really don't have tappers that you can see.

Maybe BikersDream can run the part number and tell us about it? :2thumbs:

:D:cheers:

Dead you are correct. It’s the old part number for most any 300-rear tire Big Dog motorcycles made. Struts not included. 2007 motorcycles and up come with sissy bar holes in the struts. This auction also has a luggage rack and backrest pad. Sissy bar alone is $215.00. Luggage rack is $209.99 and backrest pad is $123.99. Backing plate. That’s another $65.00. Maybe a good deal, maybe not. It could be one of the recall sissy bars and you don’t want them. Bolts broke often because the sissy bar was too small for the hole. You would have to keep a check the bolts.

"If" it is the tapered bar, which I'm thinking it might be. Before the new bars came out I had some good success by adding a very thin bushing of non-compressive material between the bar and the struts to make up the difference between the two.

Magic, the bolts quit breaking the heads off.

It might be worth investigating, for someone, if it can be had for the right price. :2thumbs:

Baby Ray's been looking into sissy bars!

Steve: Do you know if a luggage rack can be installed on the low boy sissy bar?

I'm not Steve, but yes it can be installed on the 12" bar. The spread on both the 12" and the 18" is the same! It just needs to be on a K-9 or maybe even on another BDM with a 300 tire, it might fit!
