What AFR makes the power?

At what AFR do you create the most power at if this is a accurate question?
13-1, 12.7 or what realistically is the best.

In my case I have a 11-1 compression, 2.02/1.615 valves, Red Shift 656V2 cam, port and polished heads, R&B Racing 2-1 pipe and so on. Where should I try to have my AFR at? I am running a wide band system so I can put it where I need to be.
I am going to force the fuel here and observe the map after driving it some.

I know this is a open ended question but I want to ask for general knowledge on how timing works with our motors. My motor being a EFI wide-band system.
Can you break down for me how much timing I should be giving it verses the TPS degrees and rpm range. Adjustments are made every 256 rpm. I am also looking for timing verses engine rpm.
I am looking for a overview explanation per say.
My base map was created by Thunder-heart and I am going through it trying to understand why they did what where.

John is very correct, John is "ALWAYS" correct :D :2thumbs:, about 13.2:1 max. being the average used with 93 octane (pump gas).

The optimum compression ratio "should" be determined by the fuel you're planning to run. Taking all of the following factors into consideration; The fuels availability and practicality, it's average octane rating, it's average detonation rating.
93 octane seems to be the best choice for street use if you are planning on riding it most anywhere. :2thumbs:

I am on with John Sach's as always. I respect his advice to no end.. John is the one who did my heads, port and polished, milled and put the valves that are in it. I would not hesitate to try anything he told to do. This motor has been built for a while and running on the road. He had me build a jig to measure the piston depth and so on. On the initial map the bike made 113 hp and 139 tq. After Jon went through the heads, pipes and some fuel adjustments I made 128.4 hp and 141 tq. I had the fuel forced to 12.7 when I made the pull last summer in 95 degree heat.

I am trying to take my knowledge up a notch this winter by asking a few questions.

I run BP 93 in it always. I use a octane booster in the summer or try to when I have it on the shelf even though I really don't have any pinging or rattling if I hit it. I try to make sure I roll up the rpm before I really tear into it and not when I am in the lower range. My riding to work is about half interstate and rural roads. I run it at the track as well but I have not changed the mapping any for this. I would like to make a map for these track runs to drop in when I go.
I cannot get any traction now when I turn it loose from 30 mph down. I am in the process of setting up my other rim with another type tire to try out some things. Should be interesting for sure. I have been dragging my feet on making a torque arm for our big bore bikes but I am going to finish this as well.

I find a total advance of between 26 to 28 degrees is what that motor usually wants.
You will have to custom map all the cells in both cylinders,and then work the timing.
I'm not at all familiar with the T-Hart system.:rolleyes:
