Hard to say but I truly don't believe the stock coil shields well from the rain either. I would think as long as you have tight boots on the plugs (both ends) and you ensure your coil connections are tight and sealed then you should be ok.You may want to re-think that one Ray. With as much riding as you do in the rain, I can't imagine it would be good for them coils to be exposed like that.
Some of you guys running these please chime in as my opinion is not based on my own experience.

This setup came from Thunder cycle design Eddie trotta you can use your stock crane coil plus his switch!Looking to ditch the BDM Coil mount . Anyone know of a good set up that bolts on and looks good . If you do please post a link .

Kool, thanks. I'll get with you after Christmas to see if you still have it. I remember the posts on the Cheasapeak part. Nice setup there and a good match to the levers.I used to have spike Setup from Valcan, but when I got my distruction Levers I saw the coil bracket that he has and it matched the new levers so I went for it. Here is what it looks like. I am not at home so I can't post a picture but if you like it, contact Cheasapeak Performance the Guys name is Mike.

Ray I still have my old one, may need to re-chrome it being that I fucked it up a little trying to take the ignition switch off. Cheap let me know.
