If you find that you have good connections at both ends, the battery and at the starter. Disconnect "only" both of the EHC red & black (power & ground) wires from the battery, and disconnect the "push on" green wire from the starter solenoid. Make damn sure the bike is "NOT" in gear, and jump the male push on connector of the starter solenoid the the large "constantly hot" battery connection on the starter solenoid.
If it cranks over, your issue is somewhere else.
NOTE: BE VERY CAREFUL FROM HERE ON!
If no cranky, then jump the two big leads on the solenoid together.
If it cranks then, the solenoid needs rebuilt or replaced.
If still nothing, the whole starter needs to be rebuilt or replaced.
