Does the round key hole look like a stock bdm key? No sir I didn't...

And my fast sign says the same thing...
Sorry man, I see it now. Sometimes my brain comes up with a question regardless of what my eyes see!:2thumbs:

Here is my new addition to the dog

VULCAN WORKS DUAL COIL SETUP. JUST LIKE JOSH I HAD TO HAVE THE TOP MOTOR MOUNT MACHINED. tHEY TELL YOU IT IS A DIRECT BOLT ON BUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE.
LOOKS GOOD BUT NOT SURE ABOUT ALL THOSE EXPOSED WIRES IN THE BACK. JOSH , LITTLE BOO YOU GUYS EVER BEEN CAUGHT IN THE RAIN WITH THIS SETUP...GOT ME A BIT WORRIED!

What exactly needs to be machined? Is it just 1/8 off the top? I want to get this setup so I want to be sure to order it right.

thx

There are 3 brackets/pieces to this - starting from the outside
1) the actual coil mounting bracket (the "gothic" looking plate)
2) the engine mounting bracket (looks flat and mounts to the heads)
3) the frame mounting bracket that bolts onto the frame

the area thet needs to be trimmed is #2 the engine mounting bracket i.e. on the side where it meets the frame mounting bracket.

NOTE: NOT ALL FRAMES ARE ALIKE AND WILL NOT ALWAYS ALIGN AS EXPECTED....

My suggestion is to use the "stock" frame mounting bracket (the camel toe :lol:) and all will be good - no modifications required and less chances of getting it wrong and ending up with excessive vibrations

OOOOOOPPPPPPSSSSSS.......
Technically speaking I forgot one more piece, the spacer that would fit in as #1A i.e. betwen the coil mount (gothic looking plate) and #2 the engine mount, that bolts onto the heads.

Will post some pic's tonight.
