Adjusted clutch, now what?

I used the how to and adjusted my clutch. It made it easier to get neutral and shifting is better but it is slipping in 4th. Is it cable or clutch adjustment?

If the cable is adjusted correctly, then it's your clutch.

Find my thread on slipping clutch in 09 mastiff.
I got a mastiff (bought new) 2500 miles and I am on my 2nd clutch.

It's a weak piss poor thing that BDM has put on our bikes.

You need to get the dealer to put a new clutch in.

When mine slips again (it's borderline on slipping) I am going to put a bandit clutch in.

I too recently had questionable clutch issues. Local dealer looked at my complaint and went ahead and fixed a bunch of known clutch issues free of charge.
One problem I did even know I had ------ They installed heavy duty springs due to known clutch slippage prior to 8/8/05.

Do you mean they replaced the diaphragm spring with another diaphragm spring with a higher pressure rating?

I also used the how to as a reference along with my service manual to adjust the clutch and push rod. I thought I followed the directions to a tee. But afterwards I had clutch slippage. Come to find out in my service manual, if you remove the housing and grease the clutch actuator after you put it back together and adjust the clutch rod ie, turn in clockwise until freeplay is gone (which literally means if you feel resistance, stop) then turn it counter clockwise 1/2 turn. I don't know why there's a difference but there is. So I would say if it slips, turn it out another 1/4 turn before you do anything else... All this and the 1/16th free play at the lever.....
