Hey Gas
Congrats on the Ultra. I have an '08 that I bought at Bike Week last year.
It is my third Harley...you always move up until you get the Ultra.
But, you're gonna miss the dog...
I am praying that you have a question about your bike, that you ask me, and that I know the answer. That would give me the opportunity to repay you for the many advices and counsel you have given me, plus I would be the only one on the planet who knew something about bikes that the Gasman didn't!

I really like the fact you can remove the tour pack ...I would love that and put a solo seat on quickly ...might have to work on that .. congrats ......BIG difference from the chop  yup your wife will love going with you on long runs 2 up ...you can use the intercom and chat away . really the best touring ride out there. American made in York PA !!! And the nightster should prove to be a heck of a lot of fun .. Good Luck .

TRUE COLORS COLLISION
well gas at least now you will allways be able to find new t-shirts and be a walkin billboard for the "company",unlike big dog who is very short on the "kool tshirt" department.......change is allways inevitable.....i really think the decision is a good one....why is it that as soon as we add something to make it shinyer,or replace this to make it go faster,or change something to make it stand out from the others..it seems it never works right anymore?????i really like the looks of the bike your wife is getting, guess you have been the kool one in the family for long enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No shit Jim... everybody even sportbike guys like the nightster... she just commented on... "oh this is what its like to have a cool cool bike!"

Skid... we shall see bud. But I'm not its a whole lot different. It does feel like unchartered territory for me but I'm sure I'll feel a little better after I at least even bolt on a few things and/or service it once.

Stickers and reflectors.... probably... we'll see.

Damn, I just donated 2 garbage bags full of Harley t shirts that you could have used for a starter kit. Nice ride, just hope you can get used to putting around because it takes a ton of money to be able to push that beast. Just think now it will be cool to wear sweat pants and tennis shoes or your rockport easy walkers when you ride. Don't worry we'll let you carry our stuff when we ride so you still have some purpose:whoop:

Very Cool Chris!!!

You're gonna luv that Ultra for the long hauls. Careful, those Ultra's are more dangerous then your dog ever was, you can fall asleep on those things!!!!!

My Ultra will probably be around for another year or two, then it's heading down the road for a new one. I absolutely love that black pearl color, so I'm a little jealous!

I'm trying to think of a good analogy of going from a customized Dog to a brand new factory Ultra. That's about as far of a jump as a guy can make. I guess in a perfect world would be that you could keep both, but this economy doesn't allow that right now.

I bet you find room in that garage of yours for another chopper in a year or two when the time is right. I know I would miss it.
