HOW DO YOU CHANGE A FINAL DRIVE BELT ???

You all, my final drive belt is broken, I ve just bought the one of Gates developed by S&S and 'em....
04 ridgeback.

im willing to change it myself, so advices where and how to start would be highly appreciated!!!

Pullin the primary the first time is probably intimidating but once you get it off you will see it's not complicated at all.
I would take the opportunity to verify tranny alignment and ensure everything is shimed accordingly. This will ensure the belt tracks true.

Left side drive ridgeback would be easy. Just remove outer primary, and clutch basket,compensator sprocket assembly with primary chain and then the inner primary to expose transmission sprocket. Finally remove rear wheel to slip on belt and reassemble. Follow this thread and it will help for the disassembly portion.

TORQUE VALUES FOR COMPENSATOR ADN CLUTCH HUB NUTS

hi, im putting a new belt drive, anyone who knows the torque values for compensator nut and the rear clutch hub nut????

Front compensator nut according to the manual 165-175 ft. pounds and red loctite. Clutch hub left hand thread and 70- 80 ft. pounds
