Just traded my 2002 Wolf in on a new Mutt. Great deal, rebates, etc. After 70 miles I notice something leaking out of the front oil tube, right at the base where the flange is bolted to the crankcase with four bolts. Almost looks like some kind of glue or sealant-kind of a bronze/goldish color. Does not appear to be oil as it is hard. You can remove it with your fingernail. Also appears to be some oil seeping onto the powder coat, not a lot but with only 70 miles this concerns me.Will this settle down after it breaks in? I am going to wash it today and see if it comes back. Will show it to the dealer Friday. Also not really used to the increased rake, this rides like you are operating a jackhammer! Is there some way to lighten up the forks so they are more compliant? On the highway it is great, but on the side streets it bounces like crazy. Great looking bike, but a whole different animal. Grateful to have compression releases, the Wolf stranded me a couple of times and smoked a couple of batteries including one I just bought a few months ago! Need to adapt to the 250,coming from a 180 this makes me look silly going slowly around turns.
