Bet he close to the Pacific? Salt air will eat em up if ya dont take precautions.one of those units are a wheel spacers Yes you can get new bearings from bigdogpartskingpin on Ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/195540046954
By the way, If my wheel looked like that I would never post a pic. This bike has clearly been neglected.

Looks like 2 front wheel bearing and the 3 back wheel bearing in that kit..they are not hard to remove and install. Are these the wheel bearings I need to replace?
The motorcycle shop is telling me that those are not correct, and what I need is a bearing that gets pressed into the wheel and requires a special tool. From what I can tell though is that these are correct, but granted, pressing them into the wheel might involve a tool.

Thanks!Your shop is correct—the bearings are pressed in. As Knotead says, 3 for the rear and two for the front. I usually replace them when changing the front tire. If you are offered sealed or unsealed bearngs, get the sealed ones. Below are pics of bearings I’ve used.
Afterthoughts: if your shop doesn’t have that bearing puller tool, I’d definitely look for another shop……this is a job I usually send out for lack of a tire machine, plus the professional shops can spin balance the front tire (I’ve gone back to weight instead of glass beads).
New tire = new bearings for my scoots. The bearings are cheap but the most important part of the job is the spacer that goes between the bearings.

Unfortunately yes!
Have ya ever got the rear wheel back on only to see the squish tube sitting on the work bench?![]()

No. That’s part of the race of the bearing completely destroyed. What he’s referring to is the spacer that fits in the rim between the two inside faces of the bearings once seated. Your axle goes through it also. From your photo it looks like it’s still in the rimIs this mangled piece I have that fell out the spacer you mentioned?

If so, then I do not have one of these to re-install.
Oh, OK, thanks! No. That’s part of the race of the bearing completely destroyed. What he’s referring to is the spacer that fits in the rim between the two inside faces of the bearings once seated. Your axle goes through it also. From your photo it looks like it’s still in the rim
Actually shredder may have been referring to the item in your first post/pic that is to the bottom right. That looks like a wheel spacer that would go either between the brake & bearings or the brake & frame.Oh, OK, thanks!
