I would say just swap the pipes and the knowledge on this forum will help you get it tuned. Just a word of warning, open pipes can be a headache to tune. You can get it where it runs decent, but it won't be perfect. Any competent dyno operator will tell you that dyno tuning open pipes is a compromise. There are several members here that like the blow pipes, so I'm sure they can point you in the right direction.Who do you all recommend to tune with an exhaust change? I'd like to get the Blow Exhaust for my K9, and then it would need to be dyno tuned I'm sure. I'm in central Kentucky, but will make a decent drive to get it right.

Thanks, guess I'll be happy with what I haveBlow exhaust WILL NOT FIT 05 AND UP MODELS... now with that said they can be cut in the neck and modified to work but then you got to rechrome them but talking alot of dollars now...
GET that "BOMBSITE" out of the carburator. It's costing you power. So I was thinking about the airborne member who’s rebuilding his K9. He did get blow pipes that fit his bike as I recall. He had them installed & originally said he loved the sound of them. Then he decided to go with V&H instead. Pretty sure he said that they fit his bike. Here’s a few pics. And a shot of a bike I seen in Daytona during bike week that definitely is RSD w/ Blow Exhaust. So I don’t know…View attachment 140285View attachment 140286View attachment 140287View attachment 140288

Sorry Man! Didn’t mean to walk on your thread. John is referring to the air breather on the BigDog K-9 that I posted a picture of with the Blow Exhaust on a RSD bike. Take a look. And don’t ever put one of those on your motorcycle. What are you all talking about removing??

He was talking about the 'bombsite' INSIDE the carb.Sorry Man! Didn’t mean to walk on your thread. John is referring to the air breather on the BigDog K-9 that I posted a picture of with the Blow Exhaust on a RSD bike. Take a look. And don’t ever put one of those on your motorcycle.
