Oh it gets better...Now not getting power to the starter..... I was hearing the compression releases click!

.................maybe this could be a problem!
Going Drinking!
The click you have been hearing is indeed the Compression releases. That is normal operation and is momentary (about 1 second) when the start button is depressed. At the same time a voltage is sent to the starter solenoid to crank the engine and will continue until the button is released. The 1 sec release is to take a load off to help the starter get going. You need compression for the engine to start which is why the release time is short.
Unplug the green wire from the starter solenoid and read it while you activate the start button. If you hear the compression releases and get voltage on the wire at the same time your EHC is functioning correctly. Since your issue is intermittent test it a bunch of times. If you test well move on to the starter solenoid and check inside. Sometimes the input wire gets fractured but usually that would cause a solid failure.
If you
don't get the voltage ( 8-12vdc) but you do hear the compression releases your failure is the EHC. This may sound silly but it's true! When you are experiencing the failure remove your seat and warm up the EHC with a hair dryer while still checking for the voltage. You may also see a fault indicator light. If once it's warm it starts working that pretty much confirms your EHC is acting up. Pull the connectors off and clean and regrease and check for bent or backed out pins.
Of course, make sure your battery connections are clean and tight. Don't forget the ground to frame side of the - cable.
