I spun the 2 covers on the outer bearing support and the one that goes over the clutch hub felt as if it has flat spots. The more I spun it the smoother it got and then it went away and turned smooth. I'm wondering if That isn't because the grease was just stiff because it's sub zero out there and + it has less than 300 miles on it. I'm going to go ahead and change it out anyway / cheap insurance. I don't see where that would change any thing from rattle to not rattle by pulling in the clutch But I've got it apart and bearings are cheap and I have seen more than one bearing bad right out of the box so What the hell. The throw out bearing Spins smooth I don't know how tight it's supposed to be in the pressure plate. It has the 2 little ears on it To keep it from spinning inside the pressure plate and then a snap ring to hold it in But I can wiggle it around in there which I'm assuming is normal.
You know what the real pisser is Knot when I first installed this thing there was still snow on the ground so I ran it in the shop and it did not rattle at all It was quiet and smooth the only thing you could hear was the whining of the belt. Then When it got warm out I took it out For a ride and it still didn't do it for like the first 100 miles Then it started making the noise Real Subtle but you could hear it That's when I jumped on The forum the first time and ask around and was told that that was normal. I didn't like it but I thought it was so subtle that I could get used to it . Then it got louder and louder and leveled out to about where it's at right now after somewhere around another 75 miles. I have put on Somewhere around 100 to 120 miles more and it hasn't Gotten louder. But it's loud enough that even my buddies riding with me can hear it going down the road.
I don't know Knot this whole thing has been a fiasco. First I installed it which went smooth about two hours and I was a happy camper

Then it starts making noise so I jump on here and got the wrong information. Then Im Bummed out and decide just to sell it and put the Close primary back on it. Then I didn't put down the least I would take for it which was A mistake. Then I get completely low balled offer so I feel insulted Which I guess I shouldn't have. So then I Type in something I shouldn't have Which I wish I could take back but I can't. YA The proverbial cluster F~~K
Well Wednesday when I'm off I will check to make sure the input and output shafts Are still at torque spec and let you know what I find out.
