What diameter is the axle?
What's its length?
It's 1" the exact length I'm not a 100% but it's in the neighborhood of 14-14.25" . I bought a grade 8 14x1" and if it weren't threaded it would work for as far as fitment you know one end has female threads and being a grade bolt I imagine drilling n tapping wouldn't be an easy job not to mention keeping it straight . Plus a bolt has threads and pin don't have a head. Id most likely have to buy an 18" bolt to be able to do away with threads n still have 14"

Well, as far as your spacers you might if you can reuse the old one or if not damaged get the sizes (thickness) of them because as a lot of us 05-06 mastiff owners have found out was that bigdog never kept a record of what sizes were used on which bike. They threw in different size spacers on these year models. I had an issue a few years ago to where my rear tire was off center of the fender and with the help of the guys off here i was able to have a custom set made for my bike to center my wheel up. One of the guys that use to be on here sent me a 1 gallon zip loc bag with all different sizes which I still have, the good news I have for you is that when me and erik come up with the sizes to center my wheel I had to write down the thickness of each spacer to take to the machine shop, I'll look in my notebook today after i wake up, (work 3rd shift) and I'll send you the sizes we came up with. Mr Wright on this form and I believe he responded to you also can make them for you if he has the materials and time. also the rear axle you might not be able to find because out bikes had daytec frames which bigdog stopped using in 2007 when they started making their own frames, daytec went out of buisness a while back, but if anyone has one or can get one it would be donna from HDM, website is bigdogpartskingpin.com.

Thank you I have one spacer still in tact the other one I had to cut in pieces to get wheel off. To be honest I had noticed my rear wheel being off center of my fender I figured it was me that was off not it. And yes Mr Wright has responded a couple times he actually ask me today what my axle length was. I'm going to need bearings spacers , seals and when I tapped my axle out a slave came with it . I've changed my own tires forever this is the first encounter of anything like this. Thanks Brother I appreciate your help

Yeah, if you can get me some measurements, I can make whatever you need
So you can actually make this stuff that's amazing have you made an axle before? If so could you and would you make me one again spacers as well what would you charge me and what kind of time frame are we looking at sir I will get you the specs today I'm thinking the best way to do that would be to center my wheel and measure inside the hub to the brake bracket and the other side to the frame down to the hundrethof an inch or would you like measurements in metric . Ty Mr Wright I look forward to hearing back from you sir

I can't get an accurate measurement but what I did is got best measurement I could with a tape what I came up with is15/16 on right side and 1 5/16 on left then I collected the 4 pieces of spacers I had cut up put them together best I could and measured them which was 2 3/8 so I'm .25 off the axle is 14"x1"
The long sleeve you see on the axle will have to go on the new axle correct it must be what keeps bearings from wondering across the axle . I will try again on the measurements on spacers and repost. I'm kinda on a time frame I'm only mentioning it so you may possibly have an idea if you think is possible to make thunder beach kicks off on the 3 of may and I only care because I have friends coming in from north Ala. And some coming in from ATL . If we don't make it it won't be the end of the world ty for your time and help sir

I guess I'm an ignorant but I'm not familiar with. HDM only thing I knew to do was Google big dog dealers n parts there was only one listing it was in witchtaw Kansas never got an answer on phone I emailed them n couple days later they hit me back n said they didn't have the parts my best bet was to have one made. I guess my first question shoulda been where do y'all get your parts then all the rest could have been avoided. Ty for all your help if not for you I would prolly be trying to find a cliff to push this thing off of. If you could give me just a lil more info on how to contact them id be much obliged

You can go straight to their web site and order. If you call, leave a message and Donna will get back to you. I've stopped in and helped them out a couple times, and seen them haul a load of parts to the post office, 2 -3 times a day. So you won't be the only one on her list to call. I just got on the web site and and did a search.
