I know we had one of these threads up a while back but I couldn't find it.

I see we've had a quite a few members recently sign up and a few of our current members doing some serious work on their dogs. So I figure I'd start a TO DO list - give each other ideas and tips if we've already done it.

Mine in no order

1. Smoke Turn signal covers
2. Tunable Washer Baffles on the pipes
3. New Grips
4. Mirrors (currently don't have any, but think I want to be legal again!)
5. Chrome Cam Cover
6. Mikuni Carb (wanted a XXX but see there have been some issues with the company lately)
7. Change Bulb to something brighter/stronger (any suggestions)
8. Forcewinder
9. Toolbag
10. Get my hands on some Wizards and give the dog a really good wash and shine!

would like to do a few more things, but gotta work with my budget

1. Smoke Turn signal covers (From your local HD Dealer)
2. Mirrors - not the $200 ones
3. I was ready to spend the money on the "XXX" but with all the problems folks are having I am not.
4. Change Bulb to something brighter/stronger - Bdmridgeback has an HD setup for our dogs!!
5. Despardo Airfilter Cover
6. Toolbag - a must for those road trips
7. Small powerball with an extension is amazing how well it works with Wizzards, Flitz and Mothers Billet are great.
8. Doherty PowerPacc - what a nice piece of billet art work and it helps the dog breath
9. K&N Air filter
10. Stainless Steel Hoses -- get ride of that ugly black rubber shit
11. Put a Pingel filter inline with the main fuel line (need this in FL)
12. Water Proof your Dog -- see the how-to by Gas
13. Update the electrical cover mounts if they are original before they break
14. Lube all the cables
15. Install an Autometer Oil Pressure Gauge in the tappet screen
16. Change transmission fluid to Red Line Heavy Duty Shockproof (man what a difference).
17. Cleanable Oil Filter (Chrome) -- Bdmridgeback has them
18. Amsoil 20-50w Synthetic
19. .. ok someone else's turn!

Gas, thanks for the tips. I think for you....you can just add a link to your transformation thread!!!

Slow, yes you mentioned a few small things I keep telling myself to do. Not just for bling or performance, but for longevity of the bike. Thanks

I got most of the ideas from you .. thanks again!! I love the Doherty and Despardo cover .. now I need an insert for it. :2thumbs:

toomanybikes

not enough time 4 riding
Win the lottery to pay for all of the good ideas in these lists.

Hoses, Doherty PowerPacc, heat shrink material are all ready for tomorrow.
Pipes will be showing up next week, carb jet kit is already here.

Extended forward controls went on this week and got tested today, only sixty miles.

Good to hear you can stop again, that will come in handy especially when its running good ,I know we all like to push em when there in the sweet spot. When I get mine back I plan on beating it like a red headed unwanted stepchild.
