When we service,we use:
DOT 5
ATF type F (primary)
Mobil 1 15/50, or 20/50 (engine)
Royal Purple (trans).
We find these oils to be superior quality, and as a plus,if you develop a leak,it's not guess work to know where it's coming from.(3 different colors). :2thumbs:

Never thought of using the Royal Purple as a different color for leak ID. I hate a leak but that sure makes good sense. I use the Mobile 1 20/50 and Type F ATF as well as DOT 5.

I agree. DOT 5, ATF in primary, Spectro in trans, I am using Harley Davidson motor oil 20W 50 because I get a discount. I am thinking of switching to synthetic but thought you had to wait until around 10,000 miles. Any info on that one?

I am sure after about 500 miles you can safley switch to any synthetic oil. I am only speaking on what I have read and what I have done personally myself.
