Here is the latest,

I get the carb back, install it on the bike try to tune the fucking thing and and I find myself back at square 1! There is no gas when I twist the throttle and need the enrichner to start. When the enrichner is closed the bike acts like the the enricner is not turned off and max's out with rpm's.

Ant takers on this bullshit I'm going through. Maybe I'm just not explaining myself to good. So my # is 337-501-0776. If someone can explain to me what the fuck is going on.

It might be easier for me to talk to someone as opposed to typing this shit out seeing that this already took me 15 minutes to type.

Damn Oscar...

Did they just "fix" your old carb or get you a totally new one?

have you checked for intake leaks?

What ignition are you running? Was wondering about timing or some other problem.

Did you take the bowl off, fill it with gas. With the accel pump rod, insert it into the accel pump... push it up n down and see if it sprays thru the nozzle?

Have you cleaned out your gas tank? Running a filter like a pingle or somin?

Yep to all.

This situation is just pissing me the fuck off!

I did install a fuel filter (Not a cheap one), the line has gas, there is gas in the bowl, and I did just get it from Bob.

I got a hold of him about a half hour ago and told him that it wasn't working for me. Also told him that I installed a Super G from another bike and my bike fired right up and took it for a 20 mile ride with no problems.

He is sending me a new bowl and wants me to try it. Says it migh be the problem. If that does not end up being the problem he's just going to send me a new carb.

The only day that I had time to ride was yesterday and I couldn't get it right - Go figure!

I'll keep you all posted on what happens as I try to narrow down the problem.

Ok... so you definately know its the carb. I had a slight problem, nothing to your extreme, and he sent me a new bowl. That fixed it right up.

Bob's a good guy and I'm sure he'll get you back on the road.

A wise lady once told me something about bikes breaking down. I TRY real hard to remember when I'm having problems.

"At least I have a bike to have problems with and for that I'm gratefull."

Oh... the wise lady... Vickie aka PinkChopper.

I couldn't agree with you more Chris. Hopefully the bowl is the problem.

Hi Oscar, Bob will do you right. When I purchased my XXX I did not have a swap and asked him for a new out of the box unit. He was very accommodating. The only mod I had to make was to remove the air plug. I fired the puppy up and all the adjustments were dead on. Stay vertical man we are all pulling for you.

Not for nothing but it seems that the XXX's are more trouble than they are worth. What's up with that? I had my Super G done by Zippers, Thunder jet, bored and bowl vented, and not one single issue and the bike rips. For the money I spent on my G, I am happy with it. Your problem may just be a fluke but it seems that there are a shit load of posts of dudes speaking of problems with the XXX. Fuck that thing. Aside from the fancy finish, it ain't worth shit if it doesn't run.
My xxx is running great!:)

I was messing with it last night and found that the accelerator pump was a little fucked up. I did some fiddling to it and found that the gas started coming out on the twist but it was coming out in broken squirts.

I called Bob last night and together we both walked through the whole process. All as far as we knew was correct. He told me that he still sent out the new float bowl assembly if what we did don't work.

I couldn't fire it up yesterday after all the tinkering done to the carb because my battery was dead. I'll mess with it at lunch time today and let you know the outcome this afternoon.

Once again I appreciate the support from you all.
Thak you,
Oscar

Nope! Never took it off. He had me do some other shit to it. When it's all said and done I'll post the process that I went through in case anyone else here goes through the same shit.

So what ever happened???? Thanxxx
Well,
I followed Gasmans' last post and found that it was a faulty needle valve. It moved freely until gas was added. (Kind of wierd). Anyway I called Bob with what I found and I sent him the bowl and he replaced it for me at no charge.

I installed the new bowl, added the gas and it fired right up. Bob at xXx has always been a top knotch cat to deal with. Any and every time I've ever had any questions he always answered all.

A good man that stands behind a great product.

Thanks for asking Wyatt.

Bob also recommended adding a little mystery oil to the tank to keep the components in the carb lubed up. Not much just a few ounces. Since then I've added about 3 oz. to a full tank and all seems to be ok. I throw it in probably every 10 - 15 tanks.

What do you mean by mystery oil? Is there a product called that. Just add a ounce or so every 3 to 4 tanks.
Thanks,Cliff.
