Here's the story,

The bike won't start all of a sudden. I need the enrichner to start it and when it fires up the bike stays wide open.

Any suggestions??????

mines been like that - I now need the enrichener too but it doesn't stay wide open - maybe you need to lube your throttle cables and the fitting on the carb itself

Sorry to hear about the problem.

Is your enrichener still attached to the lever and is it shutting all the way down when you push it in.

Could one of your ferrels on one of the throttle cables come loose causing the issue.

Did you do anything to it prior to this problem starting?

Can you remove the aircleaner and verify when you twist the throttle that the accelerator pump is swirting? Or that it isn't dumping fuel into the carb.

Hope you get it fixed.

Not for nothing but it seems that the XXX's are more trouble than they are worth. What's up with that? I had my Super G done by Zippers, Thunder jet, bored and bowl vented, and not one single issue and the bike rips. For the money I spent on my G, I am happy with it. Your problem may just be a fluke but it seems that there are a shit load of posts of dudes speaking of problems with the XXX. Fuck that thing. Aside from the fancy finish, it ain't worth shit if it doesn't run.

a touch harsh - there are plenty of xxx's out there which are running trouble free.

Hey Oscar - did you get it sorted?

You're probably the only one on here besides me that has a Zippers carb as most have the Triple X.
So you don't hear of lot of horror stories of trying to tune 3 jets vice only 2.
Or how that purdy blue fuel line will dry up and drain your gas tank all over your motor and bike while riding down the highway (happened to me!).

Most problems stem from dirty fuel I think.

My two cents!

Spoke to Bob today, He's going to make it right for me. I'm sending him my carb and he's going to fix the problem. He's a good man with an awesome product. I don't/can't fault him for the problem because it's like anything else in this world - Sometimes things take a shit.

Anyway - Thanks Bob at xXx carbs. for doing the right thing. Class act for keeping the customer happy with an end result no matter what the end result might be!!!!

Just got my XXX from Bob yesterday. It looks like fine jewlery, I could not believe the quality of the workmanship. Even the extended bowl screws are polished. It is a shame you have to cover it up with and air cleaner.

Cynbahd,
You're right, you shouldn't cover it up. When I installed my XXX I went with a Trotta velocity stack. Looks awesome and runs great.
