WTF?

bikes making a strange high-pitched kind of squealing noise. not sure where its coming from. i just got it back from its 500mile service. it does it after i shut it off, engine and everything is warm. anyone got any insight?

After a good ride I get metal clicking sounds but no squealing.

the check valve in the air filter vent system.. it hooks from the head to the air filter..mine did it a time or 2..

it just quit.. but I got the S&S dual runner now.. it has never done it agin..

Check your belt tightness. Somethings are just not good too tight. :up: :lol:

after you shut the bike off? check the battery. Mine whined bad before it shorted out

Is is doing it constantly, or when you give it the gas? Mine was making a squeaking noise last weekend after getting stuck in traffic on the way up to Laconia. I figured out that the bike started to overheat a bit and broke down the loctite on the top motor mount bolt. The bolt backed out a bit, then the loctite cooled and hardened again. Couldn't get the bolt to budge until I put a piece of pipe on the end of my ratchet. After 740 miles in one weekend I expected something to loosen up, but not the motor mount.

She said it does it after the bike is shut off, not while running.

Darcy does it sound like an electrical noise? I'm thinking battery too or something electrical discharging.

But hell your bike is brand new, if its near by, stop at the dealership and let them hear it. Let us know what you find!
