Makes you wonder if maybe the dealer ordered the wrong part. BDM scans bar codes so hard to deliver something that was scanned properly as the order sheet specified!!!

Dealer might just be using that company as a scapegoat. Never know!

:D

mastiff has 4166.love the bike, but big dog customer service sucks.should not be down 2plus weeks for vr.when you order a part should be there in a couple of day not 8 day later

I spent 3 weeks waiting on transmission parts for my 05 Fat Boy .. dam thing was far more unreliable than my Dog. As for electrical issues, 9,000 miles three starters, two batteries, new wire harness, transmission issues and much more .. I wouldn't leave the state with it. And NO I did not hot rod it, shit had I done that it would be 1 days riding = 9 days in repair. Add fork leaks, tires .. the best day was when I got the dog! 2500 miles and it just seems to get better!!

There have been a few "hiccups" over the past few months on getting parts in, but would definitely say they were exceptions to the rule. As long as something is in stock at the factory, we normally see them within 5 days.

dont mean to thrash them,i love the bike,i think everthing about it ,style ,performance and handling and the ride is better than the harley.and you get alot of bike for the money.just upset im not ridding.

Hell Bob ... no one can blame anybody for getting ticked over delays like that. You should see the restraint I use at times for some of the other vendors. Good days and bad .... that's why we have Happy Hour

Luckily I have a fairly busy and large dealer in town. They usually get anything stock within a week. If someone really needs something quickly they will find the part and have it overnighted. Is a VR something you would consider uncommon to have to order? All my bike problems thus far are operator error so I haven't had to do much.

For parts...it's easier (usually faster and cheaper too) to just PM Nelson (WB Cycles)! I've even got my local HD dealer to pin up his card on their service / parts wall now (yes they work on BigDogs and actually like em)!

Im hear you on the parts for I am still waiting on my EHC to get to the dealer from BDM. They got a few in a couple of weeks ago, but I think most of them were for warrantee items or had been ordered before I called.

Talked to them yesterday and they still have not got a ship date from BDM, just showing Backorder. Hopefully they will show up today or first part of next week. Would like to get on the road and hell if things are right and nothing going on, may hook up with Scubaman and BIgBlue and run down to Myrtle Beach for a few days.

Everyone be safe.

Huh!? bad vr

I would go with the dealer is messing things up, doesnt sound like big dog service to me. I have had nothing but positive encounters with big dog and my local dealer. Parts within a week no special shipping.

I had a dealer blamming Big Dog for parts too. I called Big Dog - they asked who my dealer was and told me they would have the dealer contact me within the hour. Sure enough, dealer calls and tells me the parts are available and will be here in two days.

Problem was the dealer was droppin the ball.

Very common! They blame BDM but it usually is the dealership.
