My kickstand has excessive wobble so I took it apart off the frame and notice the bushing in the mounting plate has oblong the area in which the bolt goes through; the bushing is fine and so is the kickstand just wondering if anyone know where I can buy just the mounting plate to frame for 2005 Ridgeback?

Waiting to hear back from Curtis Wild Steed as I sent email and internet request but possibly he is on vacation or otherwise.

Thx all

The area is supposed to be elongated, if you drive off without putting it up, it will flip on its own when it touches the ground, and the elongated hole also allows the kickstand to, so to speak go over center when the bike weight is on it

10-4 thx for the info...sometimes when I put my kickstand down it springs back up and thought this might be the issue but guess not and this is normal.

Sometime put the kickstand down and the watch the kickstand when you let the weight of the bike on it, it moves forward and up, that's the elongated hole allowing for that

If it springs back up automatically tighten down the bolt holding it on to the mount plate.

It's a tell tale sign it's getting loose, and guess what riding with my buddy behind me my kickstand decided to fall off and bounced down the road lucky it didn't land in his face. He said it bounced so high he could have caught it. I didn't even notice If he didn't flag me down I would have been without a kickstand at the bar. That would have been interesting.

Its good and tight as I tried that initially; that's when I took it apart and thought the issue was the oblong area.
No big deal but thx for the info.
Safe travels

I would only do that if the leg is bent out, temporarily, and get a new one if its bent. The bending usually occurs when you have people sitting on it with the weight on the kickstand.
