I have a 2094 Bigdog ridgeback with a 117 S&S . I’m having issues getting oil to the top end. I replaced all the keyways in the oil pump and cam chest. Lifters have been left in oil for 2 days to get pumped up, new oil filter, yes the one with out the anti back drain valve, new oil filled to proper level, removed poppet ball and spring and tappet screen and spring, cleaned out cavities. Pumped both cavities with oil , replaced ball spring, screen and spring, with plugs out turned engine over a few times to make sure there was no air bubbles in the system. Replaced both plugs on the oil pump and put spark plugs back in . Engine runs fine except the top end is making noise that is worrisome. No noice at the lifters. Still making noise in the top end . What did I miss ????
