WRONG OIL FILTER QUESTION

I changed the oil in my bike about 2-3 weeks ago. The parts 'wizard' at the local Harly shop gave me a filter for a twin cam motor instead of an Evo. I have run it for about 250 miles in the last 2-3 weeks and run it pretty hard. What potential ill effects, if any, can I expect from this??? My buddy caught the mistake when he took my empty box to go get a filter for his bike yesterday and the guy at the shop said it was the wrong filter for an Evo......

My dealer in San Diego used to put the TC filter on all the bikes. Ran it for 10's of thousands of miles with no harm. Difference is the anti drain back devise.

Go back to the one you are suppose to use and don't worry about it.

I'm glad you guys posted this. I was at Harley today picking up a filter for this 05 I'm working on, and something in the back of my head was telling me I needed a Twin Cam filter. Now I know I got the wrong one!

these engines are neither twin cam nor Evo - they are Supersidewinder+ which is a bit of a mixture of both. I think they have TC style oiling system.
