None of them... I'd sell the bike quickly and let someone else deal with the headaches of it :)

Honestly, I'd do the rewire if I had to do it all over again. PDM is still a bit unproven and brought to you by the same mastermind of the original EHC. WP support sucks and their workmanship/quality of product has gone drastically downhill in the last year. M-unit - the jury is still out on this.

If I had the stock EHC today and it died, I'd most likely go with the PDM. Mine came to me with a cut harness and a WP unit so I hooked that up and it was great. The VR toasted a couple "channels" on the WP so I ended up trying the M. So far, the function of the M is on par or better than the WP. But as jkd said, the jury is still out. They seems to have a good rep in the streetfigher groups in Germany so I expect it will work out well.

At this point I'm going to stick with the M and this winter I will work on water/bullet proofing the remaining stock wiring. That and a medallion speedo if I have any play money left over. :D

Hey. Hoping I am not sounding like a broken record......

I talked to thunder heart and they said all of the wiring is 12v low current.

These have been in the AIH's for a while.

The connector to the billet box is a deutch connector with a water seal.

There are provisions for decompression releases, too.

TheY do not provide gauge or engine control, but they allow for switched circuit breaker protected power to be supplied.

I have learned a lot about them lately as I am replacing the Gill ignition system in my AIH with the S&S IST. The timing on the Gill is fixed, but it is not correct for the ethanol blend we are forced to use.....so it is out of here as soon as I can.

Anyway, I hope this helps. Not trying to hog the posts, just sharing.

The M-Unit would be a possible choice but I don't see any mention of compression release control in the manual, a must have.

I don't see any mention of compression release control in the manual for the Thunder Heart EHC Controller unit either.

PDM would be my first consideration due to the design and ease of installation. Yeah I know...NO 4-way flasher, but I've never used mine. Flasher cancel? not sure, but it's not a deal killer to me.

I already did a total re-wire, it's the way to go. Simple, and easy for anyone to fix if you break on the road (even a harley shop can understand it). It also allowed me to replace the crappy handlebar switches supplied by BDM. Trouble free so far.

How about posting some pictures of your handlebar switches you converted to, along with some manufacture and source information.

I went with the pdm. Simple install and I don't care for flashers/blinkers as hand signals are more visible. My ehc was fine when I replaced it....so sold it to a member here.

Are you saying that the PDM unit has NO turn signal control (turn signals don't function) or just the 4-way flashers. Please clarify for us.

I would also like to know more about the turn signals and hadle bar controls. Thinking about converting over to PDM or M-Unit.

Comp releases are traditionally wired into the starter circuit on simpler bikes. Super simple and works perfect.

The ThunderHeart definitely looks like a good option as well...

OK, here's the pics of the switches, HD original equipment. Bars were cut off and an insert welded in to accept the smaller diameter housings. Right is start (automatic compression release), kill and turn; left is horn, high/low and turn. Simple and functional.

Nice setup there Peckerwood! If anything else major happens with my electrical I may go that route.

Blinkers do not self cancel after a period of time like the ehc does.
If you use the blinkers you have to push the button to turn them off
