Is there sombody on the forum that know sombody in Texas that can put a wp in my K9 2007 ,live in Texas baytown
because my electrice skill is not so good ,and I don,t like to mess it up.
With that said have you got the WP already? Couple kits out there that are more plug and play and don't have to cut wires from what I understand. RIP kit being sold on the forum by a vendor.
If you can plug & play I'd go with the RIP kit. All you have to do is run wires. I had Jake from FT. Myers Fl put my WP system in because he was a dealer. He did a great job but took him over 8 hr's to do it and he knows what he is doing. If you haven't already bought the WP I'd go with the RIP.
Installing the wire + kit is a real pain in the ass. I did it on my 07 Bulldog and it took awhile to get it installed. /bad thing is I had Curtis check out my EHC and there wasn't anything wrong with it. Go figure. I had a short somewhere that was corrected while installing the wire+ and i'm thinking it was the ignition switch. Anyway, I picked up the RIP kit from KMW as a spare for my 07K9 and it appears that it is a plug and play if no other electrical mods have been done to your bike. Hope this helps Guillaume.
Yes that helps a lot ,so you think I can do it meself with the plug and play ,and not coming in trouble .Well I buy the rip kit and go from there if I stuck somewhere let you know, who is it on the forum who selling the kit.:2thumbs:
The RIP kit is truley plug and play. I put one on 05 Mastiff myself in about 4 hours. No cutting of wires or anything the most frustrating part was getting the wires up the backbone.
Well JJ my EHC is not bad the only thing I read on this forum that they have problems with the EHC so they go with the WP and have less problems .
That is why I like to put the RIP on the bike .
It,s not cheap. But I can put him self on the bike and ride trouble free and not be worry EHC breaks down.
Thanks for the info .:2thumbs:
