Hey folks. I am about 90% through my WP install and need a little help. I have an 04 Mastiff. I have followed all the instructions and have one extra red wire I can't find a home for. It is in the EHC connector pin 33. This isn't mentioned anywhere in the instructions that I can find. Does anyone know what this goes to and do I need to connect it? Thanks much!!

Which set of directions are you using? Jakes or WP?

Clip BDM Red wires pin #29, 32, 33, & 50 and solder these together. Solder these to the "Y" pigtail hanging off the Orange/White wire out of Plug #1 Pos. #5. Solder these wires to it and shrink wrap.

Hope this helps . I have a 2004 ridgeback and this is what I have in my notes I took. AWG above here told you the same thing exactly. I remember I put a lot of extra effort into doing the WP install that really was not necessary. The only thing on mine that didn't work and still doesn't is the horn.If you need anymore help let me know.
( hummm , hope 33 was not the horn !! ) :)

Thats weird. I have a 04 Chopper and followed the WP directions also. I dug them out and couldn't find any pin/wire 33 in their directions. When I did mine I had no extra wires left and my horn works! Hmmm

That is wierd. I would post a pic, but I already cut the wire loose. I'll let you know pretty soon if everything works.

On the '04's the wire from pin 33 is for power to the tach so it's not used on the Chopper but is used on the Mastiff.

Hope that helps...

The only thing on mine that didn't work and still doesn't is the horn.
The power wire from the horn button (gray) goes to plug #2, pin #11 of the WP and the power wire from the horn itself (also gray) goes to plug #3, pin #3 of the WP.

If your power is hooked up that way you need to check the grounds to the button and horn.
