Would you?

Energy One
I have a trip planned this weekend to go to Laughlin to see Lynyrd Skynyrd and Joan Jett. I have two options for bikes. I could ride my 2005 Big Dog Chopper or my 2016 Victory Cross Country. I really want to ride the chopper but I am afraid it will leave me stranded and I will be to worn out to have a good time when I get there. Trip is a little over 400 miles. I have others riding/driving with me, but the "chase truck" is a Tacoma and the Chopper won't fit in the bed. PFA

Why do you think it will let you down?
I haven't had much luck with this bike. Just got it back together from having the trans rebuilt, before that the electrical kept giving me fits and I had to be rescued a few times. I know it's a big EVO and EVO's are loud, but this one seems excessively noisy. I may just be comparing it to my Victory as that is what I have ridden for the years prior to buying the big dog. I had to get a friend to pick me up from Thunder Valley Rally two weekends ago because of a broken clutch cable, and although I have friends that will do that for me, I don't like making it a habit.

Easy for me. I have a so-so dependable bike. I want less hours on the engine, less patina [pitting] on the paint. I have a bike just sitting, much newer, more dependable, I don't have to bother my friends to call a cab, turn around, someone else is in the chase truck?... why didn't I listen to turtle and just have a good time... yes? can't get those parts till next week? But it's 30 years old, can you look on the shelves again?

Poor Tool Less Luke is never gonna live this down, EZ Dog is broken every gathering and doesnt catch this much hell...lol

I would ride the Chopper, that is a good looking bike :chopper:
EZ Dog had a break this year. His chopper performed flawlessly. I rode a good portion of the Friday ride next to him. I felt like Dennis Hooper riding next to Peter Fonda in Easy Rider. 02C8A25A-C836-4D20-A186-09B495F92655.jpeg
