Well, I tested the original tire on my -03 choppa. It had 10 miles on it, was it 2014.
I had a new waiting and checked the old tire all the time. It looked just good for about 3000 miles, like new actually. On dau after a bit faster stint on highway both sidewalls gave up simultaneously. They were all cracked and bulging.
So I would say change the bloody tire in time no matter how good it looks if it is over 10 years old. Or don't leave your yard with the bike. I felt when the sidewalls gave up in a curve, rear started wobling a bit and sides went from a small crack to total shit just in a few miles!
