Would you buy a K9 site unseen?

Things don't sound too good with the red K9 in St Louis. Talking to Mike after he went and looked at it Monday I am a little disapointed at the condition. Even though the price seems good, chrome isn't in very good condition, paint has a lot of problem areas. Good news is it runs and sounds great. Still waiting to see ther pictures and video Mike took. But I think it is something I would have to look at before deciding. I am pretty particular about my chrome and paint.

Yeah, I'm really bummed out about it. I had all kinds of plans for that bike.

I know the feeling, after looking for almost a year, driving 6 hours sometimes to look at a bike, about 7 trips in and around the area, I finally found the Bulldog I wanted and am picking it up tomorrow. Yea its 5 hours away but worth the wait and time to get exactly what I wanted. Its your money so get what you want!

I haven't forgotten about you! I have to figure out a way to send the video whole. The phone will only let me send clips. I may end up just sending the video in several clips.

Strike a deal with one of the members here that are giving up their K9's. You know you will do way better than taking a chance some where else. If you're looking for a particular yr or color, just post a request.

I guess this K9 is out, I am really disappointed. There looks to be too much wrong with the paint and chrome. Chrome is pitted and paint has some big chips and gouges. I could fix and re-chrome all problem areas but not at $15500. Seller wont come down any more on price. It's too bad because it is one of the colors I like and with under 1500 miles makes it attractive to me. Thanks to everybody for their help and advise.

Wasn't meant to be. Tough though when you invest that much time in it and it doesn't pan out. Keep lookin. There's plenty out there.

I just can't find anything. Still thinking about the red one with all it's problems. Have to fix the paint somehow (touch-up) and have some things re-chromed. Seller won't budge on price and I know I would have a $1000-$2000 in making it right.
I would have better luck if I didn't live in the middle of nowhere. Can't find anything in PA.

I am looking for a 2007-up in a bright color (no blacks) for $15000-$18000 with low miles.

I know you wanted a 07 and up this is a 05 chopper with 8000 miles on it and I have seen it in person and it is amazing and perfect.:2thumbs:

Is there anybody in the area of this bike that could take a second look at it for me? I really need a detailed evaluation of the chrome condition and if and what needs re-chromed and what can be cleaned up. Want to make seller an offer and she thinks the chrome is in good condition. Mike says it's not and I tend to believe Mike on this. I just need to make sure before I let it go. I wouldn't mind replacing some chrome but not all of it. Also need to know tire condition (sidewall). It's in House Springs, MO

There is an 07 on Craigslist in Lancaster PA for 18K, and Charleys Harley in Huntington WV has a red one with 4500 miles on it asking 19K, That's about a 5 hr drive from Central Pa? Its on Cycle Trader .com with lots of pics
