Would you buy a K9 site unseen?

My previous post:

Man I screwed up big time.

Waited until I seen an eye surgeon in Pittsburgh on Tuesday to make my decision on buying the K9. Had to find out if he was willing to operate on my eye again. The problem with my eye has prevented me from riding for almost 5 years. Found out Tuesday afternoon that he can help me out. Went back to my sisters house after the appointment ( I live 180 miles away) determined to buy that Dog and it had been remover from e-bay. Tried to call the seller but no answer.

Guess I f**ked that one up. There was no use buying it before I found out if I couldn't ride it or not. Guess I will have to wait until the next one.

Thanks to everyone that did or was willing to help me out.
You didn't screw up ... it was the right decision

i am personal friends with the owners of Driven Rods and Rides. Fantastic couple guys. If you end up still looking at one of their bikes Jim let me know. ASAP.[/QUOTE

I don't think this bike was at Driven Rods and Rides. Believe it was somewhere different. Not really sure. But I have been looking at Driven's web site.

I know you have been looking at bigdogs for some time.
Here is your post from last spring.

If you are serious about buying one, I would suggest going to a shop that sells choppers and take some test rides. You can hem and haw for months wondering how they handle, etc. Go out and ride a couple and you will know if you can handle one comfortably...or if it's just not for you.
Anyway, that is my .02

I am buying as soon as I find the right one. Can't find a shop that has one either that isn't 4 or more hours away. Red one would have worked beautifully, Still haven't heard from them. Must be gone by now.

Well looks like I have another chance to get this bike. Owner e-mailed me and said the sale fell through and said I could have it. Told her I would take it. Would like to have someone to look at it for me. Messaged stlmikie to see if he could still take a look at it for me, waiting to hear back from him. So excited I can hardly sleep.

I'll go. Sorry I've been busy. Give me a call.
Thanks Mikie, I have to call them Monday and get more details. The first time it was listed it was at House Springs the second time it was at De Soto don't know what the difference is. But I will find out more Monday. I just want to make sure it actuality exists and runs before I start sending money.

I wish I had more money.
I don't blame you one bit.

Now it looks like maybe Monday Stlmikie will get a chance to look at this K9. I guess the storm caused a problem in St Louis, then it wouldn't start and seller had to get a new battery. At lease seller is holding it for me.
