Would you buy a K9 site unseen?

I grew up in House Springs. Swear I've seen that building that's in the pics with the bike before. Sounds like Mike has you covered. If he can't make it by there I will try to.

I'm from St. Louis, too, but not the most mechanically (motorcycles and cars anyway) inclined guy so you'd be better off getting someone like Mikie to give it the once over. I can tell you the people selling this bike are a dealer I've seen on Craigslist many times selling many different Big Dogs her in the St. Louis area as I'm always just looking around at Big Dogs. Agree with many members here, but at 1,500 miles, unless it was laid down, I can't see too much possibly being wrong with it. Plus their rating is 100% on Ebay which is hard to do. Take a look at their history and what they've sold and see what other folks are saying about any other Big Dogs they may have sold. Damn nice looking ride - that paint job is beautiful. Best of luck. :flag:

It has dealer tags so it might be one that has sat for a long time somewhere or a fixer upper. It look very good but check dates on tires, condition of electrical system and look for any signs of being a fixed up wreck.

Tom my 07 K9 VIN has rust forming in the punched digits, looks like the paint over of the VIN may be a solution to that. But who knows..... at least there are several good memebers that are willing to look it over for the guy.........if he would follow his thread a little closer.

You guys are great at helping out, thanks a lot. I am trying to reach the seller right now and will give Mike a call after I talk to them.

Looks nice. Couple of things to consider. Seller has 0 seller feedback. Only buyer feedback. So there's no seller history to go on. Plus the description sounds "fluffy", like a used car lot and not and individual. I would ask them about the bikes history. They say its all good but may have just bought the bike themselves. Or traded for it. Also I would not click buy it now. They'll definitely take less. Especially since they've added the "make offer" option. You can at least try to save yourself shipping.

Your doing the right thing by having someone look at it for you. Especially another dog owner.

Good luck! Nice lookin bike.

Talked to the seller, It is a used car dealer. Bike came from Kansas the guy bought it and never rode it he was the second owner. The paint chip on the frame and some pitting on the chrome headlight are the only things she said are wrong with it. Two owners and only 1500 miles what's up with that?

Bottom line price is $15,500, checked on shipping on line about $800. Seller said they have a shipping contact also and was willing to get me a quote.

I agree that the bike is pretty, the price is good, and the mileage is low. If it was my $15K, I would fly out there with my money in cash, or arrange for me to pick up my money in cash upon my arrival, and look at the bike myself. If you buy it, ride it to the shipper, and fly back. You could do that in 48 hours, maybe for about $1000?

Agree. I even worked a deal with a dealer once who paid for my flight from Chicago to Las Vegas to check out bike and then paid for shipping back to Chicago. What a deal that was. If you could work something out like this or have seller come down enough to make it worth it I'd go for it if it is the bike you want.
