Here's the problem, While riding yesterday the bike (06 K9) just quit and the horn beeped once and the 4 ways were flashing. I shut it down and she started right up and I was able to get home. Today I went to start it up and when I turn the key on, the horn blows continuesly and the 4 ways are flashing and when I hit the run button nothing happens. I replaced the battery with a brand new one with negative results. please help

the battery is brand new and the auto store checked it out to be good for voltage and cranking amps

What kind of battery did you get? Harley or some other brand? What were the voltages?

Make sure your connections are clean and tight, make sure you got all the connections connected. I would put a meter on the battery post while you crank it and see what your voltage drops down too! If it drops below 12.5 that battery is bad news...

I agree with Brew here, if you connections are good you still may have battery problems. Some others here on the forum have had new batteries that were bad. And just for info I have been running the HD battery for about two years, they a just a little over $100 bucks and has a two year warranty, and I think they have a 310cca also.

Here is a troubleshooting guide to help you along to answer some of your questions as you run into them. A big thanks goes out to Sulconst2 who shared this files with us originally if I remember correctly. Of course, the members on this forum are the biggest asset and better than any manual could ever be.
Either link will open up the PDF.

I would check the ecm. I was having weird electrical issues. I unscrewed were the wiring harness plugs in. It had some corrosion in it. I cleaned up everything with a pencil eraser, put some dielectrode grease in their and no problems since(electrically)

My '06 K9 was doing the same thing. Brand new Odyssey battery didn't help. Screw it I put in a Wire Plus. No problems since.
