Wolf Update

My Wolf was leaking oil all over the place. Reminded me of the days and the Knucklehead. The entire underside of the motor, swing arm and back tire were getting coated. Ended up having to replace the gasket where the oil filter mounts to the engine (warranty). Also had leaking from primary and tranny drain plugs. Put some Permatex on them and both are good now. Now that it's a little more broken in, I have been getting on it a bit. I then discovered the clutch was slipping very badly, as others have reported. I Adjusted it like other clutches I've worked on using the 1/4 turn back out (no manual yet). This clutch was very sensitive to the free play at the lever. I really had to play with that to get it just right. It don't slip now at all. I would say the lever feels a little loose to me, but I'm comparing it to my dyna that I would keep fairly tight at the lever. Anyway, loving the Dog and can't wait to get to Sturgis and meet up in Deadwood.

hummmm -- unhappy employees make less than sterling products. I don't blame them--just to much stress building every day

YOu need to have all the slack in the freeplay when doing the clutch adjustment.

What do you mean feels loose? Is the adjustment going out on it after you dial it in? Could be a loose trans nut.

It's a bad time to be slipping in my opinion, plenty of people out of work ready to jump on an opportunity like that.

I'm making it sound totally wrong with the loose comment. My Bad. Everything is fine now and adjusted properly. :)
