Thanks for all the positive comments. I've got about 300 miles on it so far, and it's getting better all the time. It took a little getting used to with the length and rake, but previous Dog owners wouldn't notice that probably. It doesn't feel like a heavy bike at all though, and it's solid as a tank going down the road. The suspension may be lacking just a bit, but nothing too bad. We have been riding two up all the time also. Excellent brakes, super easy clutch, and smooth shifting. You do have to be deliberate with your downshifts or it sometimes will want to grind on you. As in the reviews I've read, you can actually ride this thing through the curves pretty good. It takes a little more force to get her leaned over, but then it stays steady through the corner. No frame flexing like with my dyna. The motor on this thing is a torque monster. My other bike was a stage II 103, and the power band didn't even kick in until around 3500rpm. Part of that was the way I had it setup though. This thing will pull hard through the entire RPM range. I'm still following the break in and keeping it below 3400 for the first 500 miles. It will still get to around 100mph doing that. This thing is just flat out FUN to ride. I'm sure all Dog owners know the feeling. The seat is not as bad as it looks either. It kind of sinks down into the frame, so it's thicker than it looks. You can't park anywhere without a crowd gathering around either. Even if you don't like this type of bike, you can't help but admire the styling of it. I can't wait until it's broken in so I can really open it up. One other thing, this thing does heat up really fast when sitting in traffic. Then the EFI temp control will kick in and it will sputter pretty bad until you get her cooled down again. That may get better as it breaks in though. Our plans right now are to take, as in ride, it to Sturgis.
