Wiring

Well it started with my headlight going out so I opened it up and the harness was melted so I brought it to a mechanic and he looked into it and noticed that the side of my battery was melted And notice some wires were taped together with packing tape.

Do you have the OEM/stock EHC?

Here are some pics
That's what I figured..its not stock so a new OeM wiring harness won't help you unfortunately.

Your mechanic will have to rewire the whole bike and can use whatever Harley custom wiring harness he prefers, there are tons of options but I would think any good shop would have a suggestion and if your having someone do the work, go with what they want to sp then you can get some warranty or guarantee and future assistance if your not gonna tackle it yourself

I actually called Donna a little while back she had said the same thing so I went to the Cycle shop and told him that we can use a Harley wire harness and he said he never heard that . The mechanic said if we use a Harley wire harness he would have to basically do a lot of cutting . This is all new to me this is my first chopper and I really appreciate you helping me out.

You need to find a new shop. They obviously have never dealt with custom style motorcycles before

Ok, that the hardest part. That badlands module runs all your signal and brake funtions. The ignition is on it's own circuit. It's an old school rewire job.
