Just to put it out there I own a 2005 mastiff and I changed my 8.8 wires today to 8.0 Talor and I had a nightmare number one my bike keep firing out at lights. Two my battery went dead. Three my tac stopes working. So I put my on the old wires and boom my baby was the same. Anyone help was it the 8 and should have went higher.

does anyone know what type of coil I have on my 2005 Mastiff. I have 3 wires on the back of my coil. My wires sat accel 8.8 high something

Can some one PLEASE tell me what wires should I be useing with a cran org. BigDog coil singel fire. I tried use taylor 8.0 spril coil and it almost fucked my bike up.

As for the plug wires. Whats wrong with replacing them with the Accell?

Hey Robert, sounds like your having a bad day also, I rode all day today and then my bike started messing up also, and I can't get any help either, and I was going to go on a toy run tommarow, oh well I guess I will be sitting at home!

Thanks and I'm sorry for jumping on you like a puppy seeing his owner. Lol as far as the other guy about using accell I want a color . The other guy for the toy run God works in ways we don't know about for reason we don't know about so take it as a blessing.

I don't have a direct answer to your problem but I will share some experience if it somehow can help you.

#1 it doesn't sound like going from 8.8mm to 8mm wires will affect much of anything at all, much less the catastrophic failures your experiencing. There has to be something more to the situation that you've missed in your swap.

#2 Not that this helps but the only time I had any problems with plug wires were the stainless steel jacketed versions that needed to be grounded or else they could possibly have a potential build up in them.

Lastly I believe I have read in here other people using the colored Taylor wires with no problems. Seems something else has failed in your case. Best of Luck!

Might use the search function. I think some have had succes with the "Sumax" Wires. Have seen pics on here of bikes with diff colored wires so they are out there to be had.

I'm thinking I need carbon inside the wires instead od what ever it is that other wires have. That is what I have in my stock wires.

Well I found the problem I needed to buy the 10.4 Taylor instead of the 8.0 wires. She is running like a champ.
